Christian Education

Our ministry of Christian Education is both always the same and always changing. At 10:00 a.m. each Sunday the bagels and coffee are ready to welcome those who come to participate in the Sunday morning program for Christian Education. There are classes for children, youth and adults which follow a curriculum based on the Revised Common Lectionary (texts which will often then be heard again in the Service of Worship). The teachers are creative in their presentation so that all of those who participate are given ample opportunity to be drawn into the discussion and application of the scripture.

In addition to the Sunday morning program, there are several Journeying Communities (small groups) which meet at alternate times during the week to explore the journey of faith as it applies to them in their particular areas of interest. Of late, the most active has been one for young adults which meets on Sunday evenings. Another gathers seasonally in mid-week to focus on a particular theme, such as Advent, Lent, or topical Bible study.

For youth W.W.F. (Wednesdays on West 40th) offers an opportunity for midweek study and fellowship.
